A Labor Day for all

Academic/Unit: Fernando Ruiz.

May 1st has been celebrated in Argentina for 135 years, but it's not a true national holiday. The revolutionary left established the date in 1890, and Peronism then took center stage from 1946 onwards, although there are people who value the work done by those who are neither Peronists nor part of the revolutionary left.
