This week, the Ordinary Assemblies of REDIFAM (Network of University Institutes of Family) and REDIUF (International Network of University Institutes of Family) are taking place in Mexico City, bringing together directors and members from more than 40 Institutes across four continents. This forum for work and reflection allows for consideration of the difficulties and challenges facing contemporary families and, within this framework, for outlining the actions of each of our training and research centers, as well as these inter-institutional networks.
The activities will begin with the International Academic Congress: Relational Health in Family Bonds, held at the Anáhuac University Mexico campus. Dr. Gabriela Gambino, Undersecretary of the Vatican's Dicastery for the Laity, Family and Life, emphasized at the opening of this congress the importance of fostering values related to the human family and promoting inter-institutional networks to restore the importance of the family in all spheres.
Lorena Bolzon, dean of the Institute of Family Sciences, is representing our University at this Congress with her presentation: “The Family Perspective in Public Policies: Experiences and Lessons Learned.” She will also participate in both Assemblies, which will take place between June 24 and 28, 2024.
