The International Programmes Office page provides all the information needed to decide on participation in any of the different programmes and activities designed to foster the international dimension required by university education today.

The mission of the International Programmes Office is to promote, manage and support international academic development at university in collaboration with those in charge of each academic unit and international delegates.

The International Programmes Office accomplishes its mission through the following activities and programmes:

International Liaison

The IPO represents institutional interests before international organizations which offer scholarships, research opportunities, access to academic networks and other programmes of interest connected with the university academic activity by supporting the different academic units. It also promotes study opportunities abroad, focusing mainly on postgraduate programmes.

The IPO works in collaboration with the Institutional Development Office which specializes in some international cooperation projects.

Academic Exchange Programmes

The IPO designs, advises and coordinates the academic exchange programmes promoted by the different academic units through agreements with more than sixty universities in twenty two countries. Under these agreements, a growing number of foreign students study at Universidad Austral and, conversely, Austral students study abroad. Such agreements also favour the mobility of professors and their participation in academic networks.

Development of International Programmes

The IPO designs, coordinates, and advises on the academic programmes taught to foreign students in the different academic units. These programmes consist of Summer Programmes, International Semesters, and Other Programmes.
An increasing number of foreign students attend these programmes and study specific subjects which deal with Argentine and Latin American current affairs.

Management of International Agreements

The IPO proposes and manages international agreements for the whole university.

Information Centre

The IPO records and updates academically relevant information on scholarships, seminars, courses, and programmes offered by foreign universities as well as on other international opportunities for professors and students from Universidad Austral.

Other Studies

Jointly with the corresponding academic units and their supervising offices, the IPO analyzes proposals for both undergraduate and graduate joint degree agreements, as well as proposals for the creation of programmes (academic certificates) and courses of relevant interest to foreign students.

Language courses

Through Austral Language School, the IPO offers foreign language courses in order to foster the internationalization of students from Universidad Austral and certify the level of proficiency in Spanish required to attend courses.
