Thus,聽Universidad Austral’s聽institutional project seeks to integrate the traditional and permanent university ideals with the current academic organization and education management criteria. It aspires to incorporate and adapt the best traditions and experiences of the European and American universities into our context, namely: full-time faculty, research, interdisciplinary work, active teaching methodologies implemented with a critical attitude and fluid relationships with the social environment.
Austral University offers a religious education based on Christian values. The spiritual guidance and assistance are in the hands of the Opus Dei Prelature, an Institution of the Catholic Church that aims at helping people fulfil job and family duties with a spirit of service and Christian sense.
The University is moving on to a new stage when its inherent intense academic activities will start taking place on its Pilar Campus. Currently, IAE – Escuela de Direcci贸n y Negocios (the Management and Business School), Hospital Universitario Austral (the University Hospital) and Facultad de Ciencias Biom茅dicas (the School of Biomedical Sciences) operate there. The remaining schools and institutes which operate in Buenos Aires will gradually move to Pilar, while the activities of the Facultad de Ciencias Empresariales (Faculty of Administrative Sciences) in Rosario will remain focused there.
